The Simpsons Movie Confirmed for 2007

Twentieth Century Fox has confirmed that The Simpsons will be coming to the big screen on July 27, 2007, marking the show's first feature length movie.

The announcement came through a brief trailer shown before Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. Reports indicate that two separate 30 second teaser trailers have been airing in select theaters across the US and Canada.

The Simpsons has aired over 300 episodes since debuting on FOX in 1989. The animated series is also the best selling TV show on DVD, having sold millions of copies worldwide.

The movie is expected to utilize the voice talents of all the shows regular cast members including Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer.
